Job Description
- Perform all type of electro – mechanical work, which include repair and maintenance work in the plant rooms, guest rooms and other related areas such as, inspect, repair and maintain of all electros – mechanical installations such as in pump rooms, cold rooms, kitchen & laundry. To independently carry out repair & maintenance of all equipment and machinery related to electrical system. Knowledgeable in motor controls circuitry. Able to read it & execute modifications as needed bearing in mind the safety of each electrical interlock.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components.
- Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, Megger, and. Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting, etc.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and current National Electric Code and local codes.
- Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, and appliances.
- Maintain and repair all Electrical work in the guest rooms and all related areas in accordance with the preventive maintenance procedures and standard guidelines.
- Able to identify the faults and troubleshoot all electrical circuits.
- Carries out PPM assignments as per the given schedule.
- Understands all aspects of electrical safety such as conductor sizing, insulation, overloads, etc.
- Keeps the distribution panels clean and locked.
- Identifies and maintains circuit breakers.
- Maintain cleanliness in all the MV & LV rooms.
- Monitor and record all the energy meter reading.
- To perform programing of TV's and engineering-related inventory duties if required.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings in case of emergency.
Skills
- With Industrial Electrical Background/experience.
- With basic knowledge or ability in the following categories: Air conditioning, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building.
